When members are hospitalized, colleagues make sure that they do not lose their housing. Arrangements will be made for the payment of rent, and colleagues will take care of pets, maintain the apartment or home, visit the hospitalized member, and work to make sure that the member is not evicted. For example, colleagues will speak with a member’s payee, if necessary, to secure the rent until the member is released from the hospital.
