Clubhouse housing is affordable, in convenient locations, and in good condition. Some other housing programs do not offer their clients choices about where they will live, or who will be their roommates. Allowing members to choose their own roommates (if they want or need any) reduces conflicts. It is also much more respectful than the common practice followed by many housing programs for adults who have experienced mental illness.
