Being able to choose where we live is essential for our self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence. Our clubhouses do not treat us as if we are incapable of making decisions. If staff required that members live in clubhouse housing, it would change the member/staff relationship. We would no longer be colleagues working together, but landlord and tenant, or specialist professional and client.
