Colleague & Communication Services Unit Mission Statement
The CCs Unit engages in meaningful work by providing clubhouse services; reception, running the resale shops, providing housing, helping in arranging tours and orientation, selling lunch tickets, bus passes and stamps, editing and writing the daily, monthly and bimonthly newsletters, compiling statistics, and other job. Its purpose is to promote recovery through the utilizing members' strengths, talents and abilities.

The Clerical Unit is the hub of communication and public relations for the clubhouse. Members and staff work together to put out the daily Source and the monthly Phoenix, which is sent to over 2000 households. The Clerical Unit is responsible for preparing all mailings, sending out birthday cards and get well cards to members, and outreach cards to our members who we haven’t seen in a while, creating producing invitations for We also take care of our lovely plants here in the Unit.
Our Unit compiles statistics for fundraising and program, management. The statistics are compiled on a database, which is updated monthly by Clerical Unit colleagues. The Clerical Unit compiles statistics on one of the many computers in our unit. Members can improve their computing skills or learn how to use a computer for the first time. Members can learn how to use advanced programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Microsoft excel and the internet.
The Clerical Unit has a mail/message center where in-coming and out- going mail is processed. Colleagues can also retrieve phone message from specified mail slots. Mail is delivered two times day throughout the clubhouse.
All Units have responsibility for general cleaning in their own areas, which includes vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash containers and general picking up. All units help with cleaning the bathrooms.
The Clerical Unit needs members to be clubhouse receptionists, greeters, and cashiers and statisticians. There is always work to do in this unit. Come on down!
